You don’t need to have everything figured out in our first conversation. Many clients begin with just a feeling and we shape it together from there.

As I work, I hold both you and your space in mind. The colors, the scale, the atmosphere of your home — all of it matters. The painting is created to feel as though it truly belongs, in every sense.

If you’d like, I can share a visual concept beforehand, so you have a sense of what’s taking shape. Interestingly, most people choose not to see it. They prefer the moment of discovery, the surprise of encountering something made just for them.

This is a collaborative process, but also an intuitive one. My role is to listen closely, to notice what isn’t always said, and to translate that into something you’ll want to live with, reflect on, and return to over and over again.

I keep my pricing simple and transparent. It’s based on the size of the painting, calculated by adding the width and height (in centimetres) and multiplying that total by a base rate.

(width + height in cm) × €6

This is a commonly used method in Europe, where the sum of the dimensions is multiplied by a set factor based on the artist’s experience.

From there, the medium is taken into account, as different materials require different processes, time, and layering:

• Watercolour: × 0.85

• Acrylic: × 1.0

• Oil: × 1.3

Example: 50 × 50 cm painting

Size calculation:
50 + 50 = 100
100 × 6 = €600

Applying medium:

• Watercolour → €600 × 0.85 = €510

• Acrylic → €600 × 1.0 = €600

• Oil → €600 × 1.3 = €780
  

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon confirmation. This covers materials and secures your booking.

VAT

All prices listed above include VAT.

Payment plan

The 50% deposit is required upfront. The remaining balance can be paid after delivery or monthly over a period of up to 12 months, if that suits you better.

This gives you a clear starting point, and we can always adjust the details together to fit your vision and your budget.

Timeline

The timeline depends on several factors, such as the medium (for example, oil paint requires a longer drying time), the complexity of the piece, and my current workload.

In general, most paintings take between 4 to 12weeks to complete. Larger or more detailed works, as well as pieces in oil, may take longer.

Once you reach out, I will be able to provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific project and my current schedule.

I will be in touch as soon as your painting is ready. If you live within an hour’s drive of Wassenaar, I will personally deliver it to you. For locations further away or abroad, I will carefully arrange delivery through a trusted courier.
